Just steps away from the White House, you’ll find DC’s famously fast-paced, buttoned-up lunch crowd packing themselves into P.J. Clarke’s K Street location. The spot for an afternoon business meeting, patio lunch, or even an evening nightcap, P.J. Clarke’s DC makes home to politicos, bloggers, and tourists alike. Our story can be told in the details of the joint. In our lower-level dining room hang only presidential portraits. Upstairs, our stained oak and mosaic tile floors lead to the marble and oak bar, formerly used as an ice cream counter in the 1890’s. Antique pendants and chandeliers hang from the high tin ceiling to illuminate the dining room, complete with a marble-topped Raw bar.
